How much is too much spit up?

My boy will be 1 month on Wednesday.

We just switched to similac sensitive non gmo due to constipation.

Now he is spitting up a bit.  Not particularly fussy,  but just now it was like a tablespoon and seemed thick!

Should I be concerned?

We also just switched our 2-week-old to Similac Sensitive due to reflux. We talked to the pediatrician about our concerns with him spitting up frequently. She did not seem concerned and said that babies will even projectile vomit on occasion (she emphasized that this should be rare to occasional). She also said that the spit up usually looks like more than it actually is. I think as long as your baby is gaining and not showing signs of discomfort, everything is probably okay.

I would say a tablespoon is a normal amount. My little guy spits up probably 2-3 times a day and we use similac sensitive as well. My doctors office says if it's more than a handful, and it happens more than once in a while, then it's concerning.

I'm breastfeeding and it seems like my baby spits up half of what I feed him, but he's still gaining. You're probably fine.
