Weight gain in the bar?

I was wondering if any of you who are on nexplanon (the bar) gained weight? I've heard some do and some don't and I just want to get more of people's views.

Yes! It's a huge struggle, doesn't matter if I eat healthy and excerise. The bottom picture is me at a size two (which I have been all my life until I started taking nexplanon). The next picture is me now looking as if I am carrying a child. Not only are their physical issues, mental issues also come into play. I don't even take pictures anymore, my self esteem is at an all time low due to this form of BC. I also have been on my period for two weeks and I don't know when it's coming to an end. What is happening to me may not happen to you but take all these things into consideration & decide If your
Willing to go through all of this just to prevent an pregnancy. I highly recommend the pill, it doesn't have that many negative side effects. All you have to do is remember to take it everyday at the same time.

It hasn't been proven that the nexplanon actually causes weight gain, however it can increase your appetite, making you eat more resulting in weight gain.

It varies for different people - I've had mine since January and I've lost around a stone - not eating different or exercising any more, purely just from nexplanon

The implant made me go from 115 to 160 in 2 years, and the first 30 lbs was gained within the first few months.

I'm on my second nexaplon implant and I have gained weight however I don't know if it's from the implant or me just being a bit of a piggy 🐷 hahahahaa. I'll see what happens with my weight when it is removed next year

I've had it for a little over a year and I don't recommend it. It messes with your mental health and your emotions, also weight gain and appetite are severely affected.
