No heart beat

Yesterday was my first dr apt to confirm pregnancy I would be 13 wks but due to my dr recently having a baby there was just a lapse in being able to get in .At my apt the dr filling in searched for a heartbeat which she could not find so she has ordered an ultra sound to discover what's going on has anyone else had a similar circumstance and everything worked out okay
