Gifts for nurses?

Anyone thinking of giving gifts for the specific nurses at the hospital that will be assigned to you during your stay? If so what are you going to give them?

I am a labor and delivery nurse and a personalized note mentioning the nurses names that made an impact on your stay always means a lot! Snacks, donuts and candy always make us happy too :)

As a nurse (in the ER not L&D) I can tell you nurses love food! When I did my rotation in the L&D unit in nursing school some patient brought a bunch of donuts and the staff would flock to the donuts. It's a weird sense of joy when we get to eat free food (especially night shift when we live off of frozen meals) of course I don't get food from patients in the ER because who plans to take a trip to the ER lol. But I plan on buying a bunch of pizza or donuts so all the staff can have something. That and we get such short lunches (30 min) for a 12 hour shift its amazing to eat throughout the shift when you have a few minutes to spare.

I'm taking donuts. I'm going to have immediate family bring some up for the nurses for shift change too. Maybe a pizza party before discharge?? Health care providers love food!!

I have thought about this. I was just gonna get a basket and put prepackaged snacks and drinks in there in case they need something during their shift

We are sending an edible arrangement to the nurses before we leave the hospital.  Just a little thanks!   An also I will have more than one nurse during our stay.
