What should prisoners be allowed...

Are prisoners being taken care of a little too well these days?

I know they're still human but they're in there for a reason! I know people who continue to go back to jail because everything is provided for them. My ex-friends who have done time said it's not bad. They don't deserve to be rewarded. They should be miserable while they do their time and maybe they'll shape the hell up.

I work in a residential home for learning disabilities. They have shared toilets, shared bathrooms, no sky, they have to go outside to smoke (if they are allowed to still smoke and havnt been made to use an ecig, but then even ecigs now have to be used outside) most don't have a tv in their room and use the one communal one. They are not allowed access to the phone other than one set night a week. Their finances are looked after by the manager so they don't have the choice to buy a magazine or a chocolate bar if they want. They live to a set menu so they have a set meal each night no options for change if they don't like it. The building is secure and they are only allowed outside with accompaniment from staff if they have time. These residents have never done anything wrong other than be born with a learning disability and have no ability to care for themselves. Prisoners are treat 1000 times better than these people. Don't get me wrong as a Carer they are certainly cared for and are not short on love and have a lovely life but sometimes it makes me sad that prisoners get more luxuries than they do.
