Heeeeey... okay so there's a guy I'm kind of falling for, he's what I'm always thinking about or fantasizing over and it's getting to the point where either can just barely think straight without him coming into my thoughts. We're both in high school and I have pretty good grades (As and Bs ) but he's not doing well in school and smokes weed almost every day at lunch and/or before school, along with regularly tripping on a variety of stronger drugs (usually acid or ecstasy) but he keeps those to a minimum.

I'm kind of stuck because my friends don't really like him because of the drug problem but I know he's been through foster homes and he struggles with pretty bad depression and he just doesn't have a good life but he's trying really hard to make the best of it.

Now with the background being said, 1. My friends don't like him for the most part, 2. My parents know about him and drugs, don't worry it's not a secret in any way, 3. I won't do drugs, so don't talk about peer pressure, that's not a problem, I'm an athlete and I put my health before anything else and I've made many promises to myself and to others that I won't, 4. I'm falling in love and now he knows I like him and I think he likes me back, so if he asked me out, what do you suggest my answer is?
