Tattoo pain level?

I really want a tat but I'm nervous about the pain I tend to over think Things but I was wondering what your advice is and how was your experience ? Scale 1-10

Depends on where your getting it.
Depends on if you just doing an outline or shading as well.
Depends on the size.
Depends on how heavy the artists hand is. 
Depends if there's scar tissue involved or not. 
Depends on how long your sitting for.

I have several and each one is bigger than the last. Ultimately it comes down to size, detail, location, and your pain tolerance

I got my first tattoo, and it was a rib piece. Covers my whole side, and the pain was about a two. I only weigh 118 pounds. The worst part was when the needle was not on bone, it only hurts when it was on the fat I have (or little fat). I did a four and a half hour session, and it was finished. I love it.

I have 10 and they all hurt at different levels...some not at all and 1 at the worst was maybe a 6 for me? And that was on my foot.

I have 12, thighs ankles wrists all my back feet, and my smallest dob of my girl on my left hurt the most. They didnt leave tge 2 finger rule so hit all my nerves. Crazy

I got that on my arm the outline wasn't painful but the filling it got annoying

Pain is different for everyone. I have 11 tattoos and 13 piercings. My hip tattoo I fell asleep, whereas my sis who had a matching one says it was her worst. My foot tattoo was probably an 11 in terms of pain. My thigh probably more of a 3 or 4.
