What are the consequences of the pill?

Sorry for the dumb question. I'm sure it says it on this site somewhere but I can't find it :D. So pretty much I'm sexually active and thinking about the pill.  Is it the best choice? What are the consequences? Do you really gain weight?

I didn't gain weight but it affects people differently, not all brands work for everyone, I had to try two different types till I found one that works with me. It can affects your mood though so be careful of that

I didn't gain any weight or have any side effects. As long as you take it everyday around the same time you shouldn't get pregnant.

If your smoker and older, it could increase blood clots, etc. For me I didn't gain weight, on the pill.

The pill itself doesn't make you gain weight. It's said that it might increase you appetite. And if you forget to take it a couple days in a row then you might get sick or nauseous. Very much time commitment since you have to remember to take it EVERYDAY and around the same time like morning or night or inbetween
