What to bring to hospital/birthing center?

This is my first baby so I'm really not sure what to pack. I've called them and they don't answer the phone so I guess they're really busy but I just wanna know what others have brought and actually used to the place you gave birth and what was provided there that you didn't need to bring?

I majorly overpacked. you really just need to have your diaper bag ready but at my hospital they gave me diapers  for my daughter and wipes. but for yourself you're definitely  not going to want to bring nice underwear the "pads" are literally like super mega absorbers and mesh panties. you'll bleed alot afterward
 I didn't even start wearing normal pads until the day I came home...4 days after giving birth. but I just wore my fiance 's sweatpants since they were bigger. I wouldn't wear any tight clothing.

I majorly over packed as well. I would recommend a robe for yourself and maybe a gown for when you get moved to recovery. Literally everything else was provided for me by the hospital. They even sent me home with a care bag of tucks pads and mesh underwear and dermaplast. Definitely bring your diaper bag for baby. Especially if you have a drive. We lived an hour from the hospital we delivered so having a stocked diaper bag came in handy.

I've packed for me: nursing pads, panty liners, nursing tanks and bras, comfy pants and shorts, little bit of makeup, basic bathroom stuff like toothbrush/deodorant etc., a book, phone charger, little speaker, bringing an extra blanket, camera.
For baby:  few of the long sleeve onesies with built in hand mittens, cute newborn beanie, newborn size diapers, the gowns with the open bottoms, zip up newborn jammies, socks, hand mittens, avent passy, receiving blankets, burp clothes, and one of the zip up swaddler things...oh and of course the carseat

If u get fever blisters bring some meds for that. As soon as I had my baby my lips we're full blown in blisters and I had to wear a mask around my own baby :(

Well I didn't know I was in labor so I didn't bring anything. Later my husband got me deodorant, toothbrush & paste, hair brush, phone charger and Chapstick. My son went to the NICU because he was early. They provided diapers, wipes & outfit.

I made a list and it's what I would bring for any overnight. I'm bringing all my own toiletries so I don't have to deal with crap shampoo and conditioner. I'm bringing a nursing nightgown and a couple of nursing tank tops, a robe and slippers. I'm gonna bring my boppy. I'm also bringing a couple of burp cloths and receiving blankets for the car ride home. I'd rather be over packed than under packed. Check the website, they may suggest things you never even thought of. I never would've thought to bring the boppy if I hadn't checked the website

Don't forget about yourself! You're going to feel dirty and you're gonna want to feel human.

Own pillow
Other halfs stuff to be comfortable as well
Comfortable loose fitting clothes
Comfy throw away panties
Comfy socks
Don't stress about the baby. Everything was provided just take a going home outfit and socks and car seat. Extra stuff if you want but don't make it unnessasarily heavy it's just another bag you have to take from the gifts and stuff you get from the hospital already. Pack small but smart. Less hassle when leaving. :)
