Sorry about the long post in advance.

I am a FTM and I knew nothing about breast feeding when I had my son may 23. I had no lacation nurse come in and explain anything. So I just tried to wing it myself. Little did I know he wasn't latched and sucking he was on my nipple and chewing on it...so I had little hickeys and cracked and bleeding nipples but still tried to breastfeed feed for the following 24 hours. When the nurses saw my boobs they told me you stop for a month and let them heal. He is a little over a week old now and is very used to bottle and formula feeding now but I wanted to breastfeed SO BAD. If I try to breastfeed could it hurt him or his digestive track? I don't know what to do or what's right... my mom wants me to stick to bottle but I just want to do what's best for him. Please help. 😣
