Confused

Ok this will probably be a dumb question after all you can google pictures to help but it doesn't. My husband and I have been having a hard time conceiving and its been almost a year. My obgyn wants me to track everything and so far so good, but this whole cervical mucus thing has me confused I'm having a hard time telling it all apart, aside from clear. Like milky white, egg white, creamy? It all looks the same.
