college major??

Okay yall, I'm applying for college and I want some input from people with jobs themselves. 
1) I love working with children and think I'd enjoy this job the most, but pay isn't amazing. 
2) I'm interested in this field and have family in it so a guaranteed job.
3) I know nothing about this but the pay in my area is amazingly good..

Another way you could work with children is to become a pediatric nurse. Nurses make good money, and the work is so rewarding.

I'm a pediatric nurse and I love it!  Another good option is studying to become a child life specialist.  They work with us in the hospital to help kids cope with their diagnosis and help teach them about any procedures they may go through.  They're very important and helpful to us.

You do need to do what interests you but you also need to think logically. There's no sense in going to college for something you're not going to be able to get a job in. I don't know about where you live, but where I live there are barely any teaching jobs. I myself have worked for a daycare. I LOVE children but honestly it's hard work and I couldn't see myself doing that my whole life. I do however want to work with children in some other way so I'm seriously considering gynecology or midwifery.

I'm a high school teacher and love my job. Not only is it rewarding to see your students succeed, but it is rewarding in other ways. Yes, the pay might not be the best, but my insurance is fantastic and the hours/days we work are fantastic for moms.
