Im carrying identical twin girls who share the same placenta. Just two weeks ago I voiced my concern to my OB/gyn that I felt something did not feel right (at the time they were saying they were fraternal with their own placenta/sac). My ob sensed my concern and referred me to a maternal fetal specialist last week. At that appointment they quickly figured my girls were mo/di vs di/di and I also was told they were beginning to show signs of twin to twin transfusion syndrome! These are the things somehow I knew/felt were happening. Fast forward a week to today, I had my follow up and the girls TTTS took a rapid decline and now I'm waiting for my insurance approval to kick in so that I can see a surgeon in Houston to see if they can help my babies. This has all happened so fast and my mind is trying to prepare for anything that may arise from this, but honestly I just feel helpless and devastated.
