The difference between being "honest" and rude?

I notice a lot of women say just very flat out nasty things on here and defend themselves by saying they're "just honest." What exactly is the difference between being honest and rude then?

Honest: "That's not a good idea in my opinion."
Rude: "That's a stupid idea. Why would you do that?"

It's the way you say it.

Some people are rude on purpose. Onthe other hand, some people are too sensitive and think the person is rude because their feelings were hirt by the truth.

Sometimes I honestly go out of my way to word it nicely but also get what I am trying to say across & people still find me rude. I think sometimes people read and automatically assumed people are rude and take it wrong.

Honesty is just putting your opinions or even facts in. Being rude is intentionally putting the other person down using negative words and calling names.

Being honest is saying something like "I think you are wrong because xyz" rude is "dumb bitch you are so wrong" big difference. I'm usually very nice but people get pissy because I'm not agreeing with them. Don't ask for opinions if you are trying to justify your actions because you won't get the responses you are looking for.

Well if a person is honest they may say some things that might seem hurtful to another person.  That's when the rude comes in.
