How long can light bleeding last if you are pregnant? Not implantation bleeding.

When you are in first trimester I know some women bleed lightly. (not implantation) how long does it last? Does a lot of sex effect it?

Answer

It depends on why you're bleeding. Sex or an internal exam can irritate the cervix and cause spotting but that generally only lasts a couple days at most. Other things like subchronic  hemrogages can last longer but I'm not sure how long.

I had a pocket of blood in my uterus when I was pregnant with my last baby and I bleed off and on for a month or two
