Sex After Periods HURTS

My boyfriend and I were gettin down yesterday and as soon as his dick entered my body my whole inside of my coochi started to burn. He pulled out real fast and I showered in cool water to make it feel a little better. I tried masturbating today just to test if it was his dick or the condom that was making me burn, and it STILL hurt! Even masturbating gave me the burning sensation, and I have clean hands! I only ended my period 3 days ago, so I wonder if this has anything to do with it? It has happened in the past too. Is this normal, or should I consult a doctor?
