So I am sure I'll be judged for this, but I am sick of not being allowed to have a culture because I'm white. I'm very educated in reconciliation studies, and I do think us whites appropriate too much African American/Native American, etc, culture. Yet at the same time, we get absolutely trashed for our own "culture." Anything labeled as "white girl", i.e leggings, uggs, tumblr, is immediately done so in a mocking way. In my experience, "typical white girl" is not a compliment. And it bothers me.
