Telling in laws your ttc?

Question

How did you tell your in laws you where trying to conceive? We have been TTC for a little over two years and I have been on clomid for 7 cycles and this will be my first cycle on metformin too.

We haven't really told my husband's parents. His mom is always asking when we're having kids and we just keep telling her when it happens. I did mention in passing that we are trying but we haven't told his dad because his dad thinks we are way too young to even be married let alone have kids (I'll be 26 next week and my SO will be 27 in October) - his parents didn't have kids until they were in their 30s which is fine but that's not what we want. So to save ourselves the backlash, we haven't really told the inlaws. My parents both are aware especially since we've been having a hard time so I've gone through a lot of tests recently and just got a referral to a gynaecologist.

Answer

Mine found out because they asked what our baby timeline was and  I said whenever it happens and I told his mom I had to get off the pill. I think they get it lol
