Did we just make a huge mistake?

Over a year ago my son had a puppy. She was a wonderful puppy fully house broke by 3 months and trained well. She even knew the edge of the road and would sit waiting while we checked mail. She was hunting a squirrel and got hit by a car. My son has wanted a puppy so badly and talking about how he misses Bridget. He's very responsible and is 8 years old. We found a guy with the same mix breeds as our last. My hormones got the best of me and we picked one up. This one seems well tempered as well but is 27w 4d pregnant and now a puppy smart?!? Did I mess up?

You will be fine. I've got a 9 month old Newfoundland who I swear thinks he's a tiny dog. There's days when I think God I'm nuts. He's huge the grooming the mess he creates. Not to mention he thinks he's a lap dog but we are slowly getting there with him.

I know it may seem crazy but it's okay 😃 I've got two huskies..they are like 2yo intelligence and naughtiness wise accept they don't age lol I'm 27wks pregnant too and family expect me to rehome atleast one of my dogs but I'm not going to do that. I think i can do this so your not alone 😃

We have 2 dogs. One is a pointer lab mix who is 4 years old and the other is a pitbull mix who just turned 1 year. I love both of my dogs dearly, and both are rescues. We brought our pittie home last summer, and although there are days when he drives me nuts (like when it's laundry day and he's "helping" by digging through the pile to find a certain sock 😂) I can't imagine him not being here. With that said, even with pregnancy hormones and your son begging, I don't think your nuts. It's a lot to handle, but at the end of the day, these dogs are a special part of our families as well. They're only here for a short time and bring a certain joy and loyalty that you cannot find anywhere else. Just make sure your son helps and takes responsibility lol

We have 4 dogs (2 huskies, a border collie and a black lab puppy). We got the puppy last summer when my husband and I thought we would wait until this spring to try and get pregnant (only to get the baby itch a month later). My one husky and puppy do not get along well, I'm on bed rest and now my husband is working out of province for weeks at a time (leaving me all alone with dogs, puppies and kids on bed rest). I can't imagine, or don't want to imagine, what it'll be like with a newborn in the picture in less than 3 months BUT...to think how close the baby and puppy will be and how they'll be friends for years will make it easier down the road.

I pick my puppy up from her breeder the weekend before I got pregnant. She thinks she is human, and she sleeps with me and everything. I have had complications during my pregnancy, and I am so happy I have her because she is always by my side. I haven't been able to train her though. You did the right thing, your son deserved it and like you said he is responsible so he will help with the puppy.

We did it! We already had an 8 year old golden and we're looking for another to add, we found out the day before we had a meet and greet with our newest golden.. Decided to go ahead and get her. She's now 6 months (I'm also 6 months along) and she has been fantastic! Don't regret a thing and can't wait to see her grow up with my little one soon 💜
