Birth control/hormonal imbalance

My doc prescribed me back on BC (levora pill) due to a possible hormone imbalance I've been taking BC since I was 19 had a miscarriage at 24 now at 25 I'm married want to start trying for a baby but can't seem to get pregnant because of the irregular bleeding. Basically I'm just asking is being back on BC a smart choice as far as getting my body in order or should I just go with the flow???
