Bringing DH to first ultrasound?

Question

My husband keeps asking whether he needs to come with me for my first ultrasound. I guess I kind of figured he would want to be there since it's our first chance to see our baby. Did(or will) your husband or partner come to the first ultrasound appointment with you or did he let you go on your own? Update: thanks for all the responses! I think Hubby wasn't sure because I've gone to most of my fertility apps and blood tests solo. I'll definitely bring him along for this!

My husband didn't even hesitate when I said my date of appointment. He was like I'm going. He wants to be at every visit. He's just as excited as I am!

My husband went to every single appointment I had. Blood draws, glucose tests, you name it he was there holding my hand. ♡

This is our 4th pregnancy and he hasn't come with me but to Maybe 2 appointments with our first 2 and our 3rd I miscarried and had to go without him. Since this is a pregnancy after our miscarriage I'm making him go with me to the first appointment. I'm not going through that alone again.

I was bummed because the earliest I could get in was a Wednesday afternoon. Husband works all day Wednesday's about 1 1/2 hours away from hospital. When I told him the date he decided he isn't going to work. He wants to be at all the appointments, especially the first to hear the heartbeat with me.

This will be my 3rd baby.  My husband comes to the first ultrasound at 8wks, hear the heartbeat at 12wks, the big ultrasound at 17-20wks, and any special appointments towards the end.  He has to take off work and the appointments are super quick and boring most of the time.  I want him to save his time off for when baby comes.

Mine is coming! We are getting an early scan at 7 weeks and even though we both know there won't be much to see, he is excited and wouldn't miss it. The important thing is that we hear/see the heartbeat, and I can't wait until he hears it for the first time. Such a life changing sound!
