Breastfeeding Accomplishment
So at the hospital I couldn't get my son to latch without the help of a lactation nurse. They were always available, so sometimes I had to give him formula 🙈🙈.
The night before we left I finally got him to latch on and I was so happy. The nurse took the time to stay after it was time for her to leave because she knew that I was getting discharged and wanted to breastfeed. I even went to the breastfeeding classes while I was pregnant.
As a mother who wasn't not breastfed, and didn't have any family members who breastfed, I was always wondering if I was "doing it right". It seemed like every 30 mins he wanted to nurse. Was I producing enough?? Is he sucking right??
And after him hitting the scale, I realize that I AM DOING IT RIGHT‼️ I am so proud of myself.
Born 5/23: 5 pounds 11 ounces
5/25: 5 pounds 6 ounces
6/1: 5 pounds 15 ounces
6/6: 6 pounds 9 ounces
I'm sure it means nothing to you, but I am SO very proud of myself.
