Should I be mad

I went though my boyfriends messages and he was texting 2 girls. 1 girl has been his friends for a while but he used to have a big crush on her and he was gonna ask her to prom but he started talking to me instead. The other girl out of nowhere texted him at like 2:30 in the morning and he kept and conversation going with her till around 5. So should I be okay with this or no?
