Any tricks to getting a certain pump covered?

I really want the Spectra S1, but it isn't covered by my insurance. I had such struggles with supply for my son. Anyone have any tricks to getting it covered? The cost on Amazon shows is under my allowed amount, but insurance forces me to go through their medical supply companies, which charge an arm and a leg.

I went through Accelleron medical group with my insurance and was able to pay an extra $50 for the Spectra S1 over the S2.  Didn't pay anything other than the $50.  It might be worth a phone call if your insurance allows you to go through that company :)

Sometimes insurances will offer an amount off at a certain place. Mine offers  $175 off at 2 places in my area. So not fully covered but that would cover most of it lol

See if the doctor will write an excused for a closed system or hospital grade pump.
