After I had my baby I started going to a different obgyn closer to my house. I got mirena inserted 8 weeks after my delivery. I asked about the check ups after they insert it and my doctor said he doesn't think he needs to check every month or 3 months or whatever the standard is to make sure it's in place and that I should just do it myself. Is that normal? Should I just go back to my old Doctor so I can get it checked up on properly?
