Safe to eat thyme?

A coworker told me I should avoid thyme because it can induce labor? Has anyone else heard this?

You have to boil the thyme with water and drink it straight up like tea in order to get labor going. Not just eat it.

I've heard it but doubt it's truth. If that's the case every carribean woman should have that problem because thyme is a main ingredient in everyday dishes.

It can raise your estrogen level. Raspberry Leaf tea can also cause uterine contractions.

Oh my! Haha that's one of the sillier things I've heard. If it does have a potential to induce labour I'm sure it's in large quantities. As an ingredient in a recipe, I wouldn't worry about it.

As with most labor remedies you would have to use aLOT if it and even then it probably won't work, so no, I wouldn't worry about using normal cooking amounts.

I think you would have to eat nothing but a straight bowl of thyme to get any type of reaction. Same with parsley I believe.
