PCOS?

Just diagnosed with pcos.  Started on metformin and have a fertility appointment next week.  What's your stories with getting pregnant with pcos? It feels like a death sentence for my hope of having children.

Hello 😊 I was diognosed with PCOS when I was 22, I'm 24 now. I managed to get pregnant straight away naturally with my first pregnancy as soon as I came off of the pill, but unfortunately i miscarried at 7 weeks on the 13th of Apil this year, and today I've just found out I'm pregnant again, not even two months after my mc, again naturally. Don't lose hope 😘

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few weeks ago, not sure what it is... I'm 38 years old and TTC our 2nd child, my Dr started me on metformin and currently taking CoQ10, vitamin D, prenatals, DHA & DEHA... not sure about the road ahead, he said I don't have enough eggs and the ones I might still have are not that good... we don't want to do IVF since it goes agains my personal believes... I pray every night specially when I see stories about so called moms killing their new borns, getting abortions done, giving away or throwing babies in dumpsters... that breaks my heart 😢

Pcos, I'm ttc I've been taking myo-inositol. Any ladies taking this also? Have you came out pregnant? How long did it take for it to work?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15, I'm now 23. After two years of trying, we have had absolutely no luck yet. I'm inducing periods every other month with provera too and taking 800mg of metformin everyday.

Disgnosed at 22 after the birth of my daughter (no problem conceiving, but I think it was my inability to take birth control regularly) and horrible experience with depo shot. Extremly irregular periods without meds my period came every 4 to 10 months. I tried metformin and it made me so sick! Quit it after a few weeks. Just went off BC after some weight loss, and am hoping to ovulate and get pregnant this cycle, and if not I plan on going back on BC because my PCOS symptoms are already coming back also not to mention hormone withdrawal symptoms; headache, nausea and cramping. If you are overweight, exercising and eating healthy are the best thing to do. If you have high testosterone, cut down on dairy if you consume it. Just found out that dairy can raise testosterone! Grains can be bad too but I forget why. A lot of women have success on paleo diet. Baby dust and good luck!

I was officially diagnosed in June of last year. I am about to start clomid on my next cycle. What has helped me to a lot is a book called "the PCOS diet" I totally recommend it. PCOS affects your insulin levels, because of that I don't eat things with added sugar ( I stopped drinking soda and juice way b4 I was diagnosed with pcos). If you are over weight (like me) I suggest going on walks, yoga something to get moving and sometime that is all you need to get your cycle back on track ;)  I have lost 20lbs, so far.

This is not the end of the road for your ttc! Trust me! Just keep going. Wee have been trying for 3 years now.

Don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions, no question is dumb or insignificant.

Same boat....I was just told I had pcos 4 days ago and I have a follow up with my doctor about what's going to happen next but she wants to put me in this medication  (don't remember the name) that is suppose to be paired with birth control? She is aware I'm ttc so idk if the pcos is that bad or if I should ask for the metiformin?

Diagnosed in July of last year. Started on metformin and BC. Got pregnant naturally in November (BC failed 😊) but sadly miscarried at 7wks. TTC since January. Still on metformin. 3 weeks late, waiting on blood test to confirm since last pregnancy did not show up on urine tests.

Recently diagnosed but have known for awhile.  After stopping birth control I lost my period for 6 months with no sign of it coming back.  I found articles about DIM, a natural supplement that returned my period/ovulation within 2 weeks of taking it daily.  It has been regular for years precisely on time and we will be TTC next year.  :)
