9 week ultrasound? Vaginal or tummy

Just curious if a 9 week ultrasound is vaginal or not and if not is it best to have a full bladder so they can see the baby better?

Usually vaginal. I had an 8 week abdominal and my bladder was empty

At 6w I had vaginal and abdominal and 8w I had one abdominally and had to drink 32oz prior to the ultrasound!

I had an ultrasound at what I thought was 10w but baby turned out to be 9w it was abdominal and I had to have a full bladder

I'm getting my first US next week and it's vaginal. I guess it's easier to hear the heart beat since the little one is so teeny right now. That's what my doc said anyway!

I had Abdominal at 9 weeks. I've actually never had transvaginal. It's interesting that most do.

I had 2 so far at 7 and 9 weeks. Both vaginal as is usually easier to get picture that early. Even though I pee before they did the ultrasound I still had to pee again for her to get a better pic!  Good luck!  :)

I was just about 8 weeks when I had mine and we actually did abdominal with a full bladder and then she had me pee and did transvaginal.

My doctor wanted to do a vaginal, I'm 8.5 days, but I've had complications. I'm on progesterone to support this pregnancy and it's causing swelling and irritation which is causing some spotting. So I pushed for tummy. We were able to see baby, and the heart beat at 161! So honestly it just depends on your doctor, and I'm sure if you ask for one or the other they will consider your feelings. The vaginal one isn't the most comfortable feeing.

I had my ultrasound Monday  it was on tummy  and I used the restroom before because  the tech push on my bladder  to try and wake my baby  up lol here  is pic of my ultrasound
