Trying to conceive

The week after ovulation i had a few symptoms of pregnancy. Nausea, sickness, emotional... then 10dpo i started bleeding, (5 days earlier than my projected period) it was very light compared to normal but the day after (day 2) was like a proper period. It has been bright red with cramps. It is now day 3 and theres nothing on my pad. I wipe and there is some brown on the tissue. Who has a 2 day period? I know people say it could be implantation but this was bright red and lasted 2 days. How long after the bleed should i take pregnancy test? I was meant to start my period Saturday (today is now Wednesday) what is going on?
