Anyone with posterior cervix and Dr tried to move it forward?

Adrienne
I had an appointment yesterday and my due date is tomorrow. He checked to see if I was dilated and I was just a fingertip (which I have been for weeks), and my cervix is posterior. He said that could be making any contractions that I have been having ineffective. So he tried to manipulate my cervix and bring it forward.. which hurt so much! Anyone have this done and it be effective? I'm just frustrated and really didn't want to be induced or have a c-section. They'll do an ultrasound Tuesday to make sure the baby and my placenta are still doing ok. I know it's not totally uncommon to go past your due date, but it's just making me anxious.
