Missing feedings while away?

I EBF, but when my husband and i go on dates (say 5-8 hours long) & my mom feeds her bottles, will my supply get low? I dont have access to a pump say, at a waterslide park. Lol. So I got engorged but i pumped all the milk out as soon as i got home. Can it affect my supply going out & waiting too long to pump?

For one event every now and then it won't hurt your supply. The bigger concern would be clogged ducts or infection from engorgement. I always try to nurse or pump literally before I'm walking out the door and as soon as I get back. If you start to feel uncomfortable you can manually express a little in the bathroom, it's better than leaking all over lol.

Waiting 8 hours to pump will definitely impact supply. If you want to keep your supply you need to pump while you are away about as often as you would feed the baby.
