I tested at 9 dpo.

You still have a chance. If wait until the day of or day after your period is due so you don't stress yourself out too much.

Don't get discouraged. I tested at 9 DPO, and I got a negative on a frer. I was upset. Then I looked back, and it was a vvvfl. However, it was outside the time limit, so it was invalid. I tested again, and there was my vvvfl again. They are tricky, and believe me they go from BFN to BFP one day to the next. Good luck, and keep us posted!
