My boyfriend and I both have alcoholic fathers, so we might occasionally drink with his friends, but it's a once in a blue moon type situation. Neither of us like the way it feels

My husband doesn't like alcohol at all. He just can't stand the taste. lol. We both have an occasional drink.

My bf is a lightweight. Doesn't like to admit it but he has one drink(like Mike's hard) and he's done for the night

We rarely drink.  When my parents visit they would offer wine ( they are wineos) and very rarely he would accept. You don't need to drink to have fun or unwind. However he plays way too much video games so that's his way of unwinding/ socializing with friends and family.

Hubby will drink one to two hard ciders in the evening on average a few times a week.  Usually when life is most stressful at work, or he wants to unwind on a hot summer night.

5 years ago my husband drank like a fish but he messed up his kidneys from drinking and had strep throatthat  went septic and the meds attacked his liver and his kidneys were shutting down and working at a combined 25% still has kidney damage and liver pain but now hardly ever drinks maybe one or two drinks a month
