I'm gonna start on bc but most people that had told me about there expletive say it caused them to gain a lot of weight && it took a very long time to loss It

I have the Nexplanon, and basically that tricks your body into thinking you're pregnant because of the high estrogen levels. So i have gained a considerable amount of weight over the 3 years (call it around 80lbs.) And I am probably going to switch to an IUD, because those contain testosterone which your body can naturally counter with estrogen. So the IUD is a better method if you are concerned about your weight. The pill is also an estrogen dominant method so that will also cause some weight gain, im not sure how much I've never used the pill.
My mum is a nurse and this was her response when I asked if there was a better method for my body^

Birth control doesn't make you gain weight regardless of what you may if heard. It can make you crave food or cause you to be hungry but if you stick to your normal routine you'll be fine. Try the IUD if your worried that one doesn't have hormones

Birth control is not supposed to help with weight loss. Some people lose weight on the pill while others gain it. It's the same for all types of hormonal birth control. You won't know until you try it. Everyone's body is different.

For example I've tried different brands of the pill and some made me gain weight and others I stayed the same. With one pill I did drop a couple pounds. It depends on your body.

It's all about you. Birth control doesn't actually make you gain weight (except the shot).

If you continue to eat healthy and exercise, and take care of yourself in general, you won't gain weight. You may get a little water weight in your boobs or something, but that's it.
