May 16th my now ex and I got into a bad fight and he hit me in the stomach with a card table so I pushed and punched him to get him away from me. I called the cops on him. I've been waiting to hear from the procecuting office and haven't so I called today and they told me since he denied hitting me that it's a he said she said situation and they can't persue charges. They didn't know I had to have an emergency ultra sound cuz I started having contractions(Braxton hicks) and sharp pains in my lower belly. Everything was fine the ultrasound tech said I probably just have bruising on the inside. Anyways I'm upset because I feel they are sending the message to guys that it's ok to hit a woman behind closed doors and as long as you deny it you will be fine. They may seek charges now that they know I went to the OBs for medical care.
