What is wrong with people

Seriously what is going on with the world today. If you don't want to follow the link a 15 year old girl committed suicide after her so called friends filmed her showering and posted it to snap chat. She was being bullied for it. So these ignorant kids ruined this girls life for what a few laughs? And the mom said it's not the first time she was bullied. Another young life lost because of bullying and social media. When will this end?

Bullying isn't going to end. Especially in kids. It's terrible and often ends with a life being lost too soon, but kids don't realize that.

I think that when the bullying causes a kid to commit suicide or attempt suicide, the kids who bullied should be tried in court. Let other kids know that what they do, can ruin their lives also, not just the person they're bullying.

Bullying won't end. Adults do it, and kids do it. Miserable people who are unhappy with their lives will always find a reason to laugh at the expense of others. Poor girl. I hope those kids get what's coming to them.

I don't think it will ever end. The children used to throw rocks at my mother because she was born with two thumbs. What I wouldn't give to go back in time and say some really harsh words to those kids.

I was bullied to the point of having a nervous breakdown and attempting to take my life. Looking back on it now I wish the parents of the kids didn't make up excuses for their children. Some even went as far to blame me for being bullied. No one got involved, not even the school. I felt like I had no voice and all the "adults" did nothing to help. We are all failing our children when we teach them that bullying is okay. People need to start taking responsibility for what they do, how are the kids going to learn this when their parents are supporting their behaviors.

I don't think bullying will ever end. But how we respond to it and teach our kids to respond to it can change.

It's so sad. Social media has alot to answer for in so many of the world's negative situations. I personally would not allow my teen to have any social media, it's just a breeding ground for bullies.  I check my kids phones every night and talk to them about situations such as that. My son is 13 and he tried to set up a Facebook and instagram I deleted both and banned him from all technology for two weeks. 
I also check his playstation mails and youtube searches weekly. 
I know it might seem drastic but my partner is a paramedic and has been to two suicides by young teens who where being bullied, and two more attempted teen suicides in the last year alone. As much as is seems strict I would rather be a strict mother than a grieving mother.

I will continue to monitor most of their technology so long as they are using my wifi and I buy their phones.

I feel bullying like this cant be prevented but the out come and how it is dealt with can be changed and it's our jobs as parents to put our foot down and say enough is enough. It's not just part of life and should not be tolerated by anyone.
