If you can use marijuana and still maintain a healthy, normal, active place in society and keep a job then by all means do it as you please. Or if you use it for medical reasons. I smoke mostly to help me sleep because I have issues with insomnia and it's the BEST way to get to sleep quickly and for long enough periods of time. If you're a lazy POS stoner that doesn't do anything but sit at home playing video games then no you probably shouldn't be smoking.
