Breast milk for the hospital?

When did you start pumping your breast milk for the hospital? I kno that some woman get just enough for a few syringes.

Pumping can start labor, so be careful if you decide to pump beforehand.

Your milk won't come in untill days after delivery... You should not pump before hospital. You will breastfeed the colostrum which comes in before your milk supply in the hospital.

Maybe I'm confused but why would you need to pump breast milk for the hospital? At our breastfeeding class provided by the hospital they said unless there are extreme circumstances you don't need to pump until at least 2-3 weeks. (Exception being if you have a preemie that you pump for in the NICU or if you know you only want to feed breast milk through a bottle.)
I know every hospital/situation is different though, so to answer your question, I'm not planning on pumping ahead of time

Yes colostrum if your baby dosent attatch you should try pumping it
