Have you and your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend ever not spent your anniversary together?

Have you ever spent your anniversary not with your SO? For example one of you went out of town, spent the time with family instead, etc?

I spent my last wedding anniversary in Korea n my husband was in the states. Can't always b together. Doesn't mean anniversary didn't mean anything or u don't love each other

Dating anniversary, yes. Wedding anniversary, no. I wouldn't be against it as long as it's not a milestone anniversary, though.

My husband and I don't spend many holidays or specials occasions together.  I work 12 hour nights shift work. Last year I worked every holiday.  This year I'll be off because the baby is due November

My OH works away so hes not home for it but he makes up for it when hes home

Yes as he is a police officer and works shifts. We just celebrate events on different days. Our baby was conceived on our valentines day, which happened on 16th rather than 14th due to work!

I didnt celebrate my 1st marriage anniversary with my husband because i was out of country .😓

We have been married for ten yrs. we spent one Christmas apart bc my grandma was in the hospital and could only afford a plane ticket for me and my kid. We missed a few anniversaries but made them up when we were back together. I don't think it's that big a deal really. It's just a date on a calendar.
