Did your man go from reluctant on marriage to proposing?
We're a happy couple in our 30s who are very committed, live together and plan to be together for life. We also want a family.
But my partner is unsure about the concept/ meaning/ value around getting married, while its something I want. We're all talked out. Me on why it's important to me, him on his instilled worries around maintaining independence, keeping his sense of self & freedom. I've assured him marriage wouldnt change my expectations to our relationship (as I said, were happy). He's now kind of working through it on his own through reading and writing. I'm kind of over the topic with him at the moment.
Anyway, I'm curious to know how your guy went from unsure on marriage - while sure about a life with you - to wanting to propose. What seemed to propel him forward?
