Pelvic Exam

I'm 36 weeks and 4 days today.  I had a pelvic exam on Tuesday as I leaked some fluid and my doctor wanted to check to see if it was amniotic fluid vs cervical fluid.  Turned out it was cervical fluid and my cervix was closed.  My OB mentioned that I could have some spotting following the exam.  Today I have had two episodes of clear discharge with a string of blood.  Slight lower back pain, but I've also been doing laundry for most of the day.  My husband thinks this could be related to the pelvic exam.  Could it be related 4 days later?
