Maternity Leave?

Did you ladies ask to take it or did the doctor tell you when? I'm a direct support professional. I do total hands on care for my clients. It's getting harder everyday I work. I'm 32 weeks. My boss is a complete pain in the butt and I've told her I need some time off or atleast help but she only cares about herself.

I have been asking my dr this since about week 30 to write me out early due to stress at work and the stress it puts on my body ( preschool teacher, 4th floor classroom, 4 flights of stairs everyday up and down at lest 6 times a day) and he will not do it bc there is no medical reason. I cry every night when k come home bc of the pain and now it is getting really really bad (33 weeks)

It probably depends on the type or work you do and your overall pregnancy. I plan to work until the day I go into labor but my job isn't very physically demanding.

I plan to work until I deliver. I work in office and since I work downtown I get much needed exercise commuting to and from work. For much of my day I'm seated at my desk. I've been given a foot stool recently. All in all it isn't too bad.

I'm done end of the month 35weeks as I work in a hot kitchen I just asked my doc for a note

I'm due august 7th and my last day will be the 4th. I'd rather have more time off with my girl after she's here than take time off before since mine is unpaid.

My doc put me on leave at 25ish weeks due to complications.

I asked for it and while financially we could be better off, we don't struggle to meet ends, and in other aspects it was the best decision ever to take time off early!
