Period while pregnant??

Has anyone ever had their period while they were pregnant? I've known one person, but she said it only lasted 2 cycles.

Technically there are no periods during pregnancy because no eggs are being released. The uterus is being taken up by the amniotic sac. However, pockets of blood can hang out in the uterus around the amniotic sac and cause what's called breakthrough bleeding. It's relatively common in the first trimester of pregnancy.
