Where would you buy a cat/dog?

Also Would you buy from different places depending on if it's a cat or dog?

I got my first dog from an ad on craigslist-and thank goodness I saved her from that place! She was kept in a tiny, dirty cage and I could see she was not taken care of.
I've owned five cats in my life, all but one of them were given to me by people who couldn't keep them anymore. One cat I rescued from living on the streets after his mom disappeared.
My husband rescued our second dog from someone who was breeding pits for fighting dogs when she was just 11 weeks old.

Depends on who's got what i want.. If i find it at the breeder's then i'll buy it at the breeders. If it's at the rescue place i'll get it from there. Doesn't matter to me.

We have always got our animals from the shelters, even rabbits 🙂 I'd never buy from a breeder. I'm a sucker for animals, we intended to buy two cats from the shelter and came home with 4 😂 turns out I'm allergic as well 😂🙈 I wouldn't get rid of them for anything though and I'll continue to get them from shelters

I never bought any of my babies aka my cats ❤️ I rescued all of them, 1.) my baby casper I rescued when he was 8 weeks old from a shelter I volunteered at
2.) my lil Luna I rescued from a tree when she was a kitten
3.) Luna ran out one night and got pregnant so since it was just one I kept her

I got my cat from a girl on my swim teams family friend, and my dog from an add in the newspaper, I had two cats that we rescued before that, one was abused and a bit tough but I adored her, and one was the sweetest little angel and he would comfort me when I had nightmares and follow me around and wait outside rooms for me if I shut the door, sadly he had a heart defect, but he was one of the best little angels, animals can be amazing no matter where they come from

I get all my pets free. I don't go to the shelters usually. I find people who are in tight situations and need to rehome their pets. It saves the pets the trauma of ending up in the shelter in the first place

Apparently neither for me. My sweet puppy came to me via the side of the road a couple weeks ago. I love the little fart though ❤️
