Beautiful story: Life after death
So I have a story to tell. It isn't my story, but it is a story of what's going on in my family and it gives me hope.
First of all, my cousin and her husband have been trying to have a child since they got married 8 years ago. Well, my cousin can't naturally have babies because she has ovarian failure, so they tried fostering and adopting for 6 years.
Unfortunately, it had its ups and downs. All of the beautiful children they grew close to were sent back to their parents.
My cousin and my aunt (her mom) have always been attached at the hip. As each new foster child came into my aunt's life she always treated them like her own grandchildren. She was just as broken hearted when they went back to their birth parents.
Well, my aunt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a year ago. She fought hard for the entirety of the treatment, but, sadly, she still passed this last April.
Before she passed, her daughter had finally decided to try IVF in order to have a baby.
Unfortunately, her mom passed just mere days before the procedure and before she would find out if she would finally be a grandmother.
Even through the tragic passing of my aunt, my cousin decided to go through with the procedure. It's what her mother would have wanted.
Six weeks later, we find out that not only is my cousin pregnant. She is pregnant with triplets!! Two of which are identical twins!!!
My family is overjoyed even though it is very bittersweet.
Before all of this, I really was not spiritual or religious in any sense, but I truly believe my aunt hand picked those beautiful babies for her.
My point in sharing is that even when things seem awful in every sense, don't give up, there is something great coming your way. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
