Sex after mucus plug

I lost my mucus plug (with bloody show) this morning and I was wondering if it's safe to have sex since I've lost it? My doctor appointment isn't until Tuesday and unfortunately Google is giving mixed answers. Has any of yalls doctors said anything about the safety of having sex after you lost your mucus plug?
