I am 36 weeks and 3 days does that mean labor is close? And if so is it too early for baby?

Doesn't mean anything. That's why it's a little pointless to even get checked. It messes with your head!

Nope. I was 2 CM and 80% effaced from weeks 27-38 last pregnancy.

Doesn't mean anything. At 32 weeks I was 1 cm. at 35 weeks I was 1.5 cm 50% effaced and -1 station, now I'm 37 weeks 1 day and at 36 weeks 4 days I was 2.5 cm 50% effaced and 0 station. You could have your baby tomorrow or in 5 weeks. Never know.
