High Bp at 20 weeks

Shaydi Vukich

Ok,so I'm really confused and would like your opinion on if I should go in to the Dr or not:

Apparently my Blood Pressure is High and that's not a good thing while pregnant. At 6:42 it was 122/75mmHg

Pulse was 119bmp but then at 6:51pm it was 134/72 mmHg and my Pulse was 112bmp 😞i've had high blood pressure with my last pregnancy but not until 39 weeks

I do medical testing at work, including blood pressure. 120/80 is the galactic standard of normal. If your reading was greater than 140/90 (either value, or both) you'd want to consider seeing a doctor. 160/100 deffinately see a doctor. 180/110 see a doctor ASAP.

It doesn't sound high to me. Normal range is 120/80 to 140/90. You souls be fine.

Yes go ASAP and see if you can take a baby aspirin I had that my last preganacy and as a result I lost my son, so this time I have to take a baby aspirin every morning with my pre natal pill.. Ask your doctor

You are fone. I got overzealous about checking my bp, went to l&d because I got a bp reading on my home reader of 146/105. I get there and they check it four times and its lower than I've ever seen it. They told me to chill out and stop checking. Home machines/store machines are so inaccurate they are useless. Save yourself the embarassment and leave the bp readings to your doc appts. ;)

I wouldn't worry until it was higher than 140/90 with more than 4 hours between two readings. I have high bp (chronic not pree) and my bp is in that range normally with meds.

Neither of those numbers are exceptionally high. Mine was 146/89
