Best news ever-My miracle baby!

Laura • Diagnosed at age 19 with PCOS - Told I'd never be able to have children. Now 30, and pregnant with my surprise Miracle Baby-Natural, no meds! Due 11/20/16! <3
At age 19, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, and told that I'd never have children on my own. I dealt with severe depression through the years, as I always dreamed to be a mommy some day. It was tough to handle such a heartbreaking issue such as this, but I had finally come to terms in my late twenties that it just wasn't God's will. And then my Miracle Baby came into my life! On April 8th, I found out that I was pregnant. My period was exactly two weeks late, so I figured I'd test because, even with PCOS, my period had never been THAT late. And to my surprise, I got a very quick definite positive. I tested a total of four times that weekend, as I just didn't believe my eyes. And here I am, 30 years old, and pregnant, the all natural way! I'm now exactly 17 weeks, and it has already been one hell of a journey! At 11 weeks, I was told that I had an "incompetent cervix" with funneling, and was put on progesterone suppositories to assist in beating the scary odds against my pregnancy. And on top of that, I already had a high risk of gestational diabetes from having PCOS, and failed the Glucola test. Since week 11, I've been highly stressed and worried about losing my Miracle Baby-This amazing blessing that, for eleven years, I lived believing would never happen. It seemed like I got disheartening news every time I went to the doctor's office. But then the storm had passed, and I found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow-All the bad had turned into good! I passed the three hour Glucola, AND it turns out that my cervix is quite long, and completely normal. My precious lil guy is as snug as a bug! I still can't wrap my head around this wonderful news, as I had been measured at weeks 11, 12, and 16, and told my cervix was fluctuating between 1.6mm, and 2.7! Due to an emergency situation, my midwife referred me to the high risk specialists at the local hospital's Maternal Fetal Medicine unit to be thoroughly checked out. They measured everything, including the baby, and told me that my cervix was 43mm! I straight out didn't believe the doctor, but he reassured me that their equipment is way more high-tech and accurate than my obgyn's, and they specialize in high risk pregnancies-They know exactly how and what to look for. And for my peace of mind, he scheduled me in for another cervical ultrasound next week! A HUGE weight has been lifted off of me, and I couldn't possibly feel more blessed than I do right now. My Miracle Baby is going to make it! I can't wait to meet him on November 20th! :-) <3 Thanks for reading my story!
