Okay so here goes, me and my husband were just going to paint the nursery and call it done. My mil and fil came over said they would pay to drywall the whole room ( it does need it but it wasnt in Our budget) They wanted to do the whole room as a big gift so we were very thankful. We cleared the whole room put again and took apart the baby furniture we had just built...

My fil came over and was measuring walls and everything, he punched a hole in the wall to check for insulation. This wouldnt be that big of a deal if my mother in law didnt tell us that they drywall will cost us 200 to 300 for everything...So the whole idea of just painting went out the window.

We would just be painting if it was our own expense but now they arent going to pay for the room after saying they would.

Is it wrong of me to be upset about this? It being an extra expense we weren't anticipating?
